Dermal Fillers in Vancouver | Promethean Clinic

Dermal fillers in Vancouver at Promethean Clinic are placed by Parveen Sangha, NP, Dr. Sara Zeinoddini, Dina Wang, RN, or Natasha Errico. All of them have clinical training that goes deeper than aesthetic medicine. All of them understand facial anatomy at a level that matters when you are placing product near major blood vessels.

We use Galderma and Allergan product lines exclusively. Both are Health Canada approved and among the most studied injectable products in the world. We do not use fillers sourced outside the regulated Canadian market, regardless of what the unit price looks like.

What hyaluronic acid fillers do

Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body produces naturally to maintain hydration and structural volume in the skin. Production slows with age. HA fillers supplement what has been lost by injecting a gel-like substance into targeted tissue to restore volume, smooth deep lines, and support facial structure. The result is visible immediately. You see the change the day of your appointment. HA fillers are also fully reversible using hyaluronidase, which means any outcome that does not look right can be corrected. That reversibility is one of the main reasons HA fillers remain the most widely used filler category in aesthetic medicine.

Areas we treat with fillers

  • Lips
  • Cheeks
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Marionette lines
  • Chin
  • Jawline
  • Under-eye (tear trough)
  • Temples
  • Nose (non-surgical rhinoplasty)

Temple filler deserves specific mention because it is one of the most clinically significant placements for upper face balance and one of the most frequently overlooked. The temples are often the first area to hollow with age. Restoring volume there changes the proportion of the entire upper face without requiring anything near the eyes or cheeks.

Nose filler is another area where anatomical knowledge is non-negotiable. The dorsal nasal artery runs close to common injection sites. This is a treatment that Parveen and Dina perform specifically because of that risk profile.

How long fillers last

Lip filler: six to nine months. Cheek filler: 12 to 18 months. Temple and jawline placements: often longer, because the area moves less. Tear trough filler: highly variable, six months to two years depending on the product and patient.
Patients who are very active or very expressive tend to metabolise filler faster. High-intensity exercise, significant weight fluctuation, and sun exposure all affect longevity.

Filler Correction

We offer hyaluronidase to dissolve unwanted HA filler, including work performed elsewhere. If you have filler that migrated, looks uneven, or simply needs to be reversed before starting fresh, that service is available at Promethean. We see this regularly and it is not a judgment on what happened before. Come in for a consultation and we will assess what is there and what the best approach is.

Before and after your filler appointment

Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol, and fish oil for one week before treatment. Arrive with clean skin. After treatment: no touching or pressing on treated areas for 24 hours, no intense exercise or extreme heat for 24 hours, apply ice for swelling if needed, and contact us if anything looks or feels unusual before your two-week follow-up.

Dina Wang's approach to filler placement

Dina Wang has eight years of injectable experience and trains other injectors nationally. Her approach to fillers is architecture-first. Before placing a single unit of product, she maps what the face already has, where it has lost support, and what the tissue quality is like in each area.

“The most common mistake in filler is adding before understanding. You need to see the whole face before you touch any part of it. Volume placed in the wrong sequence, or in the wrong plane, compounds problems instead of solving them.” – Dina Wang, RN

Conservative placement and staged correction are the standard at Promethean. We would rather you come back in two weeks for more than leave looking overdone. Overdone filler is one of the most common reasons patients come to us from other clinics.

Common questions about fillers in Vancouver

Are dermal fillers safe?

Filler is safe when performed by a trained clinical provider using approved products. The significant risks, including vascular occlusion, occur primarily when product is placed incorrectly or when the provider does not know how to recognise and manage a complication. This is why the credentials of your provider matter more than almost anything else when choosing where to have fillers done.

Will my filler look natural?

The conservative, anatomy-led approach we use at Promethean produces natural results because it starts from what your face actually needs rather than what the maximum treatment amount is.

Can I dissolve filler if I do not like the result?

Yes, Hyaluronidase dissolves HA filler quickly, usually within 24 to 48 hours of treatment. If an outcome is not what you wanted, that is a solvable problem. Come back and we will address it.

How much do dermal fillers cost in Vancouver?

Fillers at Promethean are priced per syringe, with the price varying by product. Temple filler partial correction is priced at $1,000. Other areas are quoted at consultation based on the product and volume required. We give you a clear estimate before any treatment is planned.
